The Culprit

Please tell me I am not the only one who is loosing my mind!! It's 5:32 pm, I am exhausted, and have had a terrible day at the office. I reach into my purse rummaging around for my keys- I can't find them- no panicking yet- I can never find my keys. So I put the purse down and look inside the bottomless pit, I know your in there somewhere. I dump everything out on my desk- turn out the pockets, no keys. Crap- (I wish that's what I would have said) Where are they. Please, Please don't tell me I locked them in my car- Nick has been warning me about this-I lost my spare about a year ago, we don't have a way to get in. I call my mom- I am not calling my husband yet!! Did I by chance leave a spare car key at your house- please please??? Nope, no dice. Then the lecture begins, I know, I know, I will call you later. The terrible moment has arrived I have to call my husband... Hi, I can't find my keys, no, I have not been down to my car yet, I am too scared they are locked inside, yes, I know, I will go down and look now, OK call you back...... I walk towards my car in the huge underground parking, and then notice, the lights are on?... Yep, its true, I left my car on all day, but are you ready for the good news, there are the keys in the ignition, and all the doors unlocked. Do they have Therapy for People like me? I will have to ask my dad.

P.S. I also left my keys in the lock overnight the other night- Nick got up to go to work and found them there in the door. No wonder I don't have children- I can't even keep track of keys.

Emily's House

I thought you guys might be interested in seeing my house so here is a picture I took after I painstakingly mowed the whole lawn with a push mower. Yeah its awesome to have a husband that likes old inexpensive things thus the house, the push mower, our cars, our clothes (does anybody else's husbands still wear clothes from high school?). Ha, I better not get started.

My Very Own Bike!!

I remember long ago, I was more than ecstatic one sunny afternoon in September for two reasons it was my 12th birthday- and my mom had taken me out of school to go get my "surprise" birthday present. I sat in the back seat of the station wagon watching the cars go by, thinking- "I can't believe I am finally going to get my very own bike. I won't have to ride one of my brothers anymore! what color did I want- red, no blue- hmmm why are we stopping at music store? Well, my mom must need some music or something." As we walked in the doors, I saw my violin teacher there smiling brightly- Well, this is a weird coincidence. Then I saw behind her a table with a green velvet cloth and three violins laying on it, and then my mom so excited saying- you are getting a new violin! What OH no!! A new violin- my old one is just fine!! Anyways, After that day- I think I gave up on the thought of ever having a new bike- but then 2009 came along and my cute husband said- you deserve a bike- let's go get you one. And here it is. It's perfect- I don't have to lean over to the handlebars- they come up to me. I can wear a skirt while riding- since they are my summer staple, I can even ride in my flip flops! Sorry, for bragging to you all, but I was just so excited about it. Anybody, want to go on a ride with me? Lara

A Day at the Park in C-Nasty

Okay, so I was at the park the other day and this nice young mom came walking towards me with two little girls with their hair done up all cute and looking darling and I smile at the mom and she smiles back flashing me the most beautiful black tooth-stubbed grin (Tommy calls it "Meth Mouth") I have ever seen. We start talking and she is describing to me in her deep smokers voice all the crafts she and the girls had been working on that morning. That's Cincinnati for you. It has so much potential if people would just stop smoking!

Some Slow cooker Recipes!!

Mer- as it just so happens- someone just sent me a few links to some slow cooker recipes. I have not tried them yet- but they have pretty good reviews. Let's all try a few and give some feedback. IT'S HOT!!!

Now that it finally feels like summer has hit my desire for cooking has officially gone out the window. So, I think it would be a great idea to get people to post a favorite crock pot dinner recipe. That way we can get up first thing in the morning get dinner going and then as the day wears on and our energy seems to melt away we will have no excuses for not having a good meal for dinner. Anyone got any new yummy ideas???

I don't know if you gals can handle my bikini picture..... but here it is! Don't get too jealous. When your breasts are so perky you really need not even wear a top.

This should be a fun adventure for someone who doesn't do a whole lot of blogging- I guess i will figure it out as I go(any helpful hints would be appreciated)! And hopefully I am the first to post a picture of myself in a bikini to show off my massive boobs!! Mer

Great idea girls. This will be a fun way to share info. You need to share info about your lives, kids, and also share fun ideas and recipes. Should we make the blog private so that only we can read it? What do you think???

Just Because!!

So when Emily, Whit and I were at lunch the other day- Emily said we needed to create a blog so that we could keep in better touch with each other, we agreed. I was asked to get it started so here it is. Everyone will have access to it- I will send you the info. through your email- and we will see how it goes- please post whatever strikes your fancy: A new recipe, a picture of your darling, or naughty children, your husband, your pregnant belly, a joke, a picture of a crazy person- you get the idea- Anything!! Thanks for the idea Em- I know secretly I have been wanting a blog- but don't really feel like I have something worthy to post- this gives me an opportunity to do so. Happy 4th of July to you all!!
